The students read the assigned texts, ask questions, understand the topic&#8230; etc. so that they understand the depth of the course that will be given by the Rav afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;13459&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_shadow&#8221;][vc_column_text]At 15:30, talmidim daven\u00a0<strong>mincha <\/strong>and\u00a0then study until 1900.<\/p>\n<p>From 1900, talmidim review everything they learned during the day, study <strong>halakhot,<\/strong> and the <strong>Shulchan Aroukh<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;13124&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_shadow&#8221;][vc_column_text]In the evening, a <strong>Mussar<\/strong> class is given by <strong>Rosh yeshiva<\/strong>. At the end of this class, students discuss <strong>yirat chamaim <\/strong> and how to improve their midot. \u00a0These shiurim are organized by age group or by groups of chevrutot. This exchange between the pupils is a practice which has its origin in the yeshivot that the Novardock Saba had built In Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Students then by take a <strong>walk in the forrest<\/strong>, which allows them to tackle a variety of topics, such as how to overcome life&#8217;s hardships.<\/p>\n<p>For the last part of the evening, students study a daf of <strong> Gemara <\/strong> of their choice.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row section_type=&#8221;alternate&#8221; padding_bottom=&#8221;0&#8243;][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"sous_titres\">A week at the Yeshiva<\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row text_align=&#8221;center&#8221; section_type=&#8221;alternate&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;6935&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]Every Thursday during lunch, students are assessed on their study of <strong>Gemara<\/strong> and results from their\u00a0<b>forrest<\/b>\u00a0walks from the week. The yeshiva provides encouragement gifts to all students. \u00a0<strong>Every effort is rewarded<\/strong>. \u00a0This reward system is in relation to the students&#8217; investment.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;6934&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]On Friday, <strong>Rav Mordechai Schvarcz<\/strong> gives students a lesson on the <strong>parasha<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>shavua<\/strong>. \u00a0At this time students are spiritually preparing to welcome <strong>Shabbat<\/strong>. \u00a0This is a moment where everyone makes their own personal account of the week.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;6936&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]After the entry of Shabbat, the Rosh Yeshiva gives a <strong>Mussar\u00a0<\/strong>on the <strong>parsha shavua<\/strong>. \u00a0Afterwards students enjoy a joyous<strong>\u00a0sueda <\/strong>with songs of Shabbat that animate the evening &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The avr\u00e9him invite students to their homes to talk about <strong> emouna<\/strong>, <strong> bitahon<\/strong>, the greatness of G-d and to take inspiration from an authentic Jewish home and to continue their spiritual work in the yeshiva.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row padding_bottom=&#8221;0&#8243; el_class=&#8221;uneannee&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>A year at the Yeshiva<\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row text_align=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;6925&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; el_class=&#8221;yearpic&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Passover<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Students are responsible for kashering the yeshiva for Passover. The yeshiva organizes a <strong>big community seder<\/strong> where everyone learns to remember the joyous exodus from Egypt. \u00a0After Passover, students have<strong> a week of vacation<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;13348&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; el_class=&#8221;yearpic&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Purim<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>All students participate in the joy of Purim. \u00a0Everyone dresses up for the occasion and even perform a\u00a0<strong>show <\/strong>. They all go to the avr\u00e9him to dance and have snacks. \u00a0A big quiz is then organized for the entire yeshiva. Afterwards, everyone participates in the joyous\u00a0<strong>Purim Feast<\/strong>. \u00a0After Purim, the yeshiva leaves in boded for 3 weeks.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;13344&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; el_class=&#8221;yearpic&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>In Lag Baomer<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Students prepare a fire, which is at least<strong>\u00a015 meters high, every year<\/strong>. \u00a0This is a time when students meet together to\u00a0<strong>sing and dance<\/strong>. \u00a0The student who invested the most in the study of Torah during the year gets to light the fire.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;13117&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; el_class=&#8221;yearpic&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>After Tisha b&#8217;Av<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Students have\u00a0<strong>21 vacation days<\/strong> in Elul. During the holiday,\u00a0<strong>sports activities<\/strong> are organized within the yeshiva domain. Students even install a<strong>\u00a0snack bar<\/strong>\u00a0to create a holiday atmosphere. The yeshiva makes <strong>5 ATVs<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>horses\u00a0<\/strong>available for students to enjoy riding in the forest.\u00a0There are also\u00a0<strong>b<\/strong><strong>arbecues<\/strong>\u00a0students can use during this summer period.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row text_align=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;6932&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; el_class=&#8221;yearpic&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Elul<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Students are particularly interested in studying\u00a0<strong>mussar<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>teshuvah<\/strong> to prepare for the most daunting days. Each motzei Shabbat, the Rosh yeshiva gives a course in an atmosphere particularly conducive to making teshuvah. The prayers of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur during Tishri are filled of emotion and seriousness. We feel the spiritual preparation that takes place throughout the month of Elul.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;13346&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; el_class=&#8221;yearpic&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Sukkot<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Students meet to build the\u00a0<strong>yeshiva sukah<\/strong> and help the avr\u00e9him build their own. The <strong>h<\/strong><strong>akkafot of Simchat Torah<\/strong> lasts for many hours. Every student participates in this immense joy.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;13113&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; el_class=&#8221;yearpic&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>In winter<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The yeshiva has a very special winter campaign for students: every student has the opportunity, based on his diligence through the year, to\u00a0<strong>have his winter vacation financed by the\u00a0<\/strong><b>yeshiva<\/b>. \u00a0The more the student invests in himself, the more the yeshiva financially supports his trip. The students leave together to\u00a0<strong>ski<\/strong> in the <strong>Alps<\/strong> for <strong>one week <\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;13345&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; el_class=&#8221;yearpic&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Hanukkah<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Leisure activities<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>sports<\/strong>, <strong>competitions<\/strong>, <strong>&amp;<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>games<\/strong>\u00a0are set up within the yeshiva. During this recreational week, the avr\u00e9him distribute donuts to the students to cheer them up and give them the feeling of celebration from home.
